MIDLAND will aim to add to its premierships this Sunday when it takes on Queens Park in the Metro Football League grand final at Robinson Reserve.

League president Rowan Carson said the Tigers had won more than 30 premierships since forming in 1897.

“They won premierships in the old Sunday League, WAFA 1985 and 1973 (defeated Wanneroo) and they were the 1961 A grade amateur premiers,” he said.

Queens Park, established in 2013, have won three flags.

“They have won the last two in the Metro league in division 1 and are going for the hat-trick on Monday,” Carson said.

The grand final kicks off at 2.30pm.

In division 2, Koongamia face Balga at noon.

Koongamia will look to win its first premiership since forming in 2000.

Balga is looking for success after reforming this year.

The games will be broadcast by Sports Edge.
