Metro Football League: Queens Park defeat Midland to win hat-trick of premierships

QUEENS Park made it a hat-trick of Metro Football League premierships when it defeated Midland in the grand final at Robinson Reserve on Sunday.

The Bulldogs proved too strong for the Tigers, winning 15.8 (98) to Midland 7.10 (52).

Their best players were Preston Westlake, Philip Narkle and Caleb White. Narkle kicked four majors and Arthur Bropho three.

Midland’s best were Casey Clinch-Phillips, Matthew Gletliton and Anthony Abraham. Clinch Phillips and Mat Loly kicked two each.

In division 2, Balga defeated Koongamia 13.12 (90) to 10.8 (68). Balga’s best were Raymond Hedland, Jacob McPhee and Billy Johns. McPhee booted three goals along with Shaun Hinson.The best for the Crows were Daryl Garlett, Dylan Ryder and Boyden Prosser. Wayne Ryder kicked four goals and Brett Boundary three.
