Midland Cycling Club’s Cameron Meyer named elite track cyclist of the year at Cycling Australia Awards

MIDLAND Cycling Club’s Cameron Meyer was named the male elite track cyclist of the year at last Friday’s 2017 Cycling Australia Awards in Melbourne.

Meyer took his career world title tally to eight after winning the team pursuit and points race crowns at the World Championships, in addition to the Madison silver.

He also added three national titles and World Cup gold and silver to secure a fourth career award.

Also flying the flag for WA was Peel District Cycling Club rider Richard Barville who won the men’s masters road cyclist of the year award.
