After completing a gruelling selection process, Year 10 student Tayla Hoycard and Year 9 student Morgan Millar will travel to Launceston at the end of the month with the School Sport WA state netball team.

The girls, who both started playing netball in Year 3, said they were thrilled to be part of the team.

Tayla has already played in interstate competitions, having travelled to Darwin with the state 17-and-under team earlier this year.

‘Last year, I travelled to Queensland with Darling Range netball program and this year will be my third time travelling to play netball in Tasmania,’ she said.

For Morgan, the trip will be her first interstate competition.

‘This is the first year I will travel with an elite sporting team,’ she said.
