Premier Cricket: Walters’ 20th ton puts Midland-Guildford in control against Subiaco Floreat

STEWART Walters smashed his 20th first grade century to highlight day one of Midland-Guildford’s round 13 Premier Cricket clash against Subiaco Floreat on Saturday.

Walters’ knock moved him to second on the all-time century makers list for WA first grade cricket.

The reigning Olly Cooley medallist hammered 153 from 178 balls including 16 boundaries and five sixes, as the Monkey Towners posted 259 all out.

Keaton Critchell (32) and Jordan Mast (26) provided strong support for the veteran.

The visitors finished at 2-39 in reply, with debutant Charlie Cassell capturing his first wicket.

Danger man Calum How was out for 22 as the Midland-Guildford side take the upper hand going into next weekend.
