MIDLAND-Guildford had mixed start to the Premier Cricket season after a win and a loss during the double-round weekend.
The Swans recorded a comfortable win over University in their first fixture for the year at Lilac Hill on Saturday, with a pair of young stars doing the damage for the hosts.
Chasing just 140 in a rain-affected fixture, Jack Baker (53 not out) and Keaton Critchell (49 not out) combined for an unbeaten 96-run stand, as the Swans reached the total just four wickets down.
However, it was a different story on Sunday as Fremantle proved far too good at Stevens Reserve for the Midland-Guildford side.
