Boat users at Ocean Reef Marina face disruptions when half of the boat ramps are closed from mid-April as works on its $223 million redevelopment progress.

DevelopmentWA acting CEO Dean Mudford said the Government body was looking to work with boat users throughout construction to reduce disruption.

The ramps will be closed after the school holidays.

“Boat ramps 1, 2, 3 and 4 will remain open. Boat ramps 5, 6, 7 and 8 will be permanently closed from April 15 to enable construction of future amenities, including the new boat ramps,” Mr Mudford said.

“A new temporary boat trailer parking area is currently being constructed adjacent to the existing boat ramps to allow construction works to commence within the footprint of the existing parking area.

“The marina will eventually have eight new upgraded boat ramps that will be opened in early to mid-2025.”

The removal of the existing car park and subsequent opening of a temporary car park between April and May will enable the remaining ramps to stay open during construction.
