UPDATE, June 6: A HILLARYS restaurant is set to close this month as part of a merger with an adjoining venue.

Following a 3Sheets announcement on Wednesday that it would open a new northern suburbs venue, Portside broke news to customers via social media on Thursday that it was closing at the end of June, adding there was good news too.

“All the Portside favourite dishes, drinks, atmosphere and even our staff will be moving to our new super venue at Butler and will become part of the team at 3Sheets on the Track,” it said.

A Facebook post said 3Sheets Hillarys would close for a “freshen up” at the end of July and re-open with parts of Portside as the two brands merge.

3Sheets on the Track will take up the site vacated by New York New York last year.

EARLIER: HILLARYS eatery 3Sheets is set to open another restaurant in the northern suburbs.

The restaurant has announced plans to open another venue in spring at Butler Central, opposite the train station.

Community News understands 3Sheets on the Track will lease the restaurant formerly occupied by New York New York, which closed last year.

We are super excited to officially announce a new 3Sheets "3Sheets on the track" ( Butler) due for opening in early spring…
