DEVELOPERS of a northern suburbs estate have won a national award for the best master-planned community.
Alkimos Beach partners Lendlease and LandCorp received the title at the Property Council of Australia’s Innovation and Excellence Awards, held on May 11.
“A strong vision, innovative planning and design, and investment in community partnerships providing long-term, sustainable opportunities for residents has achieved a fantastic outcome,” Lendlease WA communities general manager Anthony Rowbottam said.

READ NOWThe estate started in 2012 and LandCorp chief executive Frank Marra said it was part of the biggest coastal development north of Perth in 50 years.
“Our vision for Alkimos Beach has been to achieve a new benchmark in sustainable living, striving for a carbon neutral community,” he said.
The estate, which now has more than 1600 residents, was the first in Australia to receive a six green star rating by the Green Building Council of Australia.
