ANACONDA’S grand opening of its Butler store this month marks the creation of more than 20 local jobs.
There will be face painting, prizes and giveaway at the August 31 event in the Home Consortium complex near Spudshed and Spotlight.
The store covers 1790sq m and will feature extensive fishing and camping ranges, as well as hiking, water sports, bikes and outdoor clothing ranges to meet local community needs.
Regional manager Paul Llewellyn said the store would provide the community with more 20 jobs, including full-time, part-time and casual positions.
“We have recruited some of Butler’s best experts to assist customers at the new store,” he said.
“Our team is excited to bring their expertise to the Butler community and we have ensured that our department team members are highly passionate and experienced in the areas of camping, hiking, fishing and all things adventure.”
Alkimos Scout Group will run a free sausage sizzle for attendees at the grand opening and Anaconda will donate a $1000 voucher to the group to stock up on of their gear essentials.
Some members of the scout group have also been hired to work at the store.
The Butler Boulevard store will open about 8am on August 31 with a ribbon cutting ceremony.
