Businesses curry favour

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

The Y Club hosted a curry night for its monthly get-together on July 30 for local business owners and professionals at the Capricorn Enterprise House.

Sponsor Russel Perry, Capricorn Village Joint Venture’s chief executive, said the population of the area had doubled since they first started selling lots in 2005 and so they supported economic viability and enterprise in the area.

Dr Perry encouraged the attendees, who included book-keepers, photographers and cleaning service providers, to also involve themselves in the Yanchep and Two Rocks Tourism Network.

‘Whatever your businesses are, they will have a tourism element to them,’ he said.

Event organiser Glen Whistler-Carr mentioned all businesses represented on the night, including Westpac Bank, which plans to open a branch at Yanchep Central shopping centre later this year.

The next Y Club event will be held on Wednesday, August 28, with organisers providing food for an Italian theme.
