THREE months after opening, Butler Central News has sold its first Division One winning ticket.

Owner Tao Zhang welcomed the store’s first Division One winner after a Saturday Lotto Division One ticket worth $443,884 was sold at the store.

“Our customers say they have won many other division prizes with us, but this is our first Division One – it’s so exciting how quickly it came,” he said.

“We have a lucky golden Buddha that our customers can’t seem to help themselves rubbing for good luck.

“The Buddha must be a genuine lucky charm.”

WA’s Division One Saturday Lotto ticket is amongst nine winners nationwide to share in the almost $4 million prize pool.

The weekend win brings the State’s tally of Division One winners so far this year to 42, with those winners sharing in more than $92 million worth of prize money.

More than 82,400 other WA players picked up a prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, including six Division Two winners who each collected $10,231.

The win is the second Division One take home for the City of Wanneroo this month, after a FIFO worker won $1 million with a ticket bought from Clarkson’s Major Luck Lottery Centre.
