Clarkson shops host spring food, beauty and home workshops

VEGAN cheese making, hair braiding and home decorating workshops are among the activities offered at a northern suburbs shopping centre this spring.

Ocean Keys Shopping Centre in Clarkson and its tenants will host a range of food, fashion, home and lifestyle workshops in September.

Most events will be free and bookings are required.

Shoppers can learn to make vegan cheese on September 5 to 8, a southern chicken salad on September 6 for $5, decorate finger buns on September 7, make a raw cranberry slice on September 5 to 7, mix up a Caesar salad on September 5 and 7 for $5 per person and make muesli on September 5.

The following week, shoppers can get tips on stylish outdoors on September 12, cosy guest bedrooms on September 12, creating a mood with mists, oil and aromatherapy on September 12 and 13, and dressing a bedroom on September 13.

The third week will focus on fashion and wellness, with hair-braiding workshops on September 20 and 21, and sessions on making lip balm on September 21.

There will be an organic makeup master class on September 20, personal styling sessions on September 20 and 21, skin pampering sessions on September 20, organic skincare class on September 21 and another $10 skincare workshop on September 19.

Other sessions will cover bush flower essences on September 19, training and nutrition on September 21 and 22, skincare routines for $10 on September 20, jewellery styling on September 19 to 22 and mini lash and brow makeovers on September 19 to 22.

There will also be free blood pressure checks from September 19 to 22, skin analysis on September 19, eye health workshops and frame style advice on September 19 to 21, gardening workshop on September 21 and a spring fashion showcase on September 22.
