Cold no barrier to Aldi Butler opening

Construction started on the Butler Boulevard store earlier this year, making it the second northern suburbs store for the supermarket chain after the Joondalup outlet opened in June.

Butler MLA John Quigley cut the ribbon before shoppers browsed the aisles.

An Aldi spokeswoman said the opening was a great success.

“We were delighted to see strong interest from the local community on opening day,” she said.

“Many shoppers lined up well before the store opened to pick up one of our unique special buys and we saw a number of happy customers walk away with the bargains they’d found.”
