New fast-food store delivers jobs boost to Butler

A FAST-food outlet opening in Butler next week expects to employ 25 casual and full-time staff. Trigg resident David Thompson owns the Red Rooster store on Butler Boulevard, which will open on December 8.

“We are happy for resumes to be submitted online – we will be looking at hiring probably about 25 staff,” he said.Mr Thompson said he had recently sold two other cafes in Lakeside Joondalup shopping city – Muffin Break and Jamaica Blue – before buying this store in Butler. “It’s a massively growing area, we are pretty excited about getting into it,” he said.

Red Rooster Butler will hold an opening celebration on Saturday, December 19 from 10am, and will give the first 500 customers wearing red a free lunch each.

Entertainment will also include a jumping castle, face painting, live DJ and appearances from the Paddle Pop Lion and Reggie the Rooster.

The Red Rooster brand started in Kelmscott in 1972, and the store will do home deliveries.

A KFC store recently opened in the adjacent site on Butler Boulevard.
