Grand opening at district centre

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

The 13,500sqm hardware and white goods store opened two years after Masters signed an agreement with Satterley Property Group.

‘This is prime retail land in one of the fastest growing population corridors in the country and we welcome Masters to Brighton,’ chief executive Nigel Satterley said.

‘The 11,000 residents already living at Brighton not only have great schools, parklands and beaches close by, but now a multimillion dollar retail investment.’

Mr Satterley said Butler was a greenfield site when development started 13 years ago.

The Masters store on the corner of Marmion Avenue and Butler Boulevard opened its doors on March 31, but plans to hold a weekend celebration on Saturday, April 12.

Store manager Danny Cotton said customers would be able to find products to fix, renovate, decorate and improve their homes.

‘The store has also opened up 120 job opportunities for people to live and work, with most employees coming from the Brighton area,’ he said.

Other plans for the district centre include a 4200sqm Woolworths supermarket and an 8000sqm Big W.
