A BUTLER early childhood educator was one of six winners selected from 3000 nominations across the country in G8 Education’s national Standout Educator Awards program.

Great Beginnings Butler’s Hayley McDonald Miller was named one of six winners on September 5 after parents and her peers nominated her for an outstanding contribution to the wellbeing and healthy development of the children in her care.

“It’s a privilege to be able to work with children each day – they teach me so much,” she said.

“I’m really honoured to have been recognised by my families.”

Centre manager Janine Roth said the recognition was testament to her dedication to providing learning and development outcomes for children.

“The Standout Educator Awards highlight the special contribution educators like Hayley make to the lives of the children in their care,” she said.

“To be selected is not only reward for her dedication to providing quality early childhood education and care, it also emphasises the special bond that she has with the children.”

She received the title of ‘standout educator’, a $250 professional development voucher and a $250 voucher to spend with a retailer of her choice.
