Home-based carer praised

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Elizabeth Thompson was one of more than 2000 people nominated by families, with entrants judged on their commitment to providing quality early childhood education and care in a home-based setting.

Family Day Care Australia chief executive Carla Northam said she was impressed by the carers’ stories and care provided, with great responsibility given to people entrusted with the care and education of young children.

‘Every nomination reflected the importance parents place on the safe, nurturing and educational environment of family day care,’ Mrs Northam said.
