Mindarie Marina has gained a 4.5 gold anchor accreditation.

The ratings are a customer focused accreditation scheme for marinas.

Mindarie is one of 20 marinas in Australia that have been awarded the gold anchor, as well as 250 accredited marinas globally.

Gold anchors are to marinas what star ratings are for guest accommodation. Ratings range from 3 to 5 gold anchors.

A gold anchor enables the marina to benchmark its services and facilities against 10 key criteria and 101 individual assessment items.

Mindarie Marina has been rated 4.5.

The auditor that rated Mindarie Marina a 4.5 gold anchor facility commented on the vibrancy of the marina.

It was also credited with having good on-water facilities plus on-land leisure and recreation facilities that include accommodation, craft brewery, beach volleyball plus several food and beverage options.

The marina’s managing director Martin Smith said it was an honour to be accredited under the gold anchor scheme.

“Management are thrilled that Mindarie Marina has been recognised on a national and international level as a 4.5 star marina,” he said.

“We have seen numerous improvements in the quality of services and facilities at Mindarie Marina over the years. We will continue to innovate, gain feedback from our marina users and ensure we are focused on continually improving our service for the benefit of our boating community in the future.”
