Architectural company MJA Studio designed the venue, which the marina’s general manager Andrew McGie said would offer wedding and events clients a “stylish and sophisticated events space”.
It replaced the old hotel pool area with a covered outdoor bar and alfresco area with a fireplace, a lap pool and an open outdoor-functions space with a landscaped pool deck and grassed area.
The interior refurbishment involved the complete redesign and restructure of the existing function centre, resulting in two independent event venues that can be opened up to act as one single space with a capacity of up to 360 guests.
