Mr Newman recently started running his own leisure and corporate travel business as part of the Travel Counsellors network.

“When running my business I focus on what is at the heart of it – my customers,” he said.

“Bringing this business to the people of Butler and the surrounding area is really exciting for me.”

Mr Newman said the “dynamic” Travel Counsellors network operated differently to other travel agencies.

“Working from home on my own enterprise allows me the freedom and flexibility to provide the best customer service possible for my clients, while also having a great work/life balance,” he said.

“I can meet my clients for a coffee to discuss their travel plans, or come to my customers’ home to talk about their upcoming bookings.

“I’m not chained to working set hours or from a specific retail store, so it’s a win-win.

“More than a travel agent, I am a professional traveller and consultant who loves to help other people see what the rest of the world has to offer.

“I love making my customers’ travel plans comes to life.”

Mr Newman said as well as holiday and leisure arrangements, he looked after corporate needs of business travellers and organised group or escorted tours.
