New venture just start of a new chapter for couple

The couple, who recently migrated to Perth from South Africa, will open a Jamaica Blue franchise in Ocean Keys Shopping Centre on June 16.

Mr Summers said they moved to provide a better future for their children, with their 22-year-old son already at university and twin boys (19) planning to start university next year.

He said they had owned a coffee-themed restaurant in South Africa and chose a franchise they could grow with here.

Mr Summers said they expected to employ about 15 people, and had received more than 200 applications.

‘Jamaica Blue is going into a new direction where they are doing table service,’ he said.
