The November 5 event at Ocean Keys shopping centre will also be a fundraiser for the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation, with all proceeds from the $5 tickets to be donated.

AMP Capital Shopping Centres managing director Bryan Hynes said the two-year redevelopment responded to the population growth in Perth’s northern corridor.

“The trade area population is expected to see an average annual growth of 5.3 per cent between 2016 and 2021,” he said.

“The redevelopment revitalised the centre making it a local, modern shopping destination for residents north of Perth.

Mr Hynes said annual centre traffic was about 5.5 million.

Centre manager Karen Draper said there would be an array of activities throughout the day, including free cupcakes, complimentary beauty bars, live musicians and a bouncy castle.

“Guests at the VIP fashion event will be treated to champagne and canapes, a DJ spinning tunes and a showcase of spring and summer’s hottest looks, with all proceeds of the $5 ticket going to Princess Margaret Hospital,” she said.

Ocean Keys is a finalist in three categories of the Property Council of Australia’s shopping centre of the year awards.

Winners will be announced on November 6, with the centre a finalist for its ‘Treasure chest of prizes’, ‘Keys Kids Club’ and ‘Immerse yourself’ campaigns.
