Store manager Tina Pember said the store would have a big impact on the local community, employing 30 people who mostly live in the local area.

“There is a diverse mix of team members from all walks of life, various backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and ranging in age from school leavers to mums,” she said.

“We all have a background in sewing, knitting and craft and are excited to help the Butler community with all of their creative needs.”

Spotlight is a family owned and operated Australian business with stores throughout Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

The first 100 customers through the door when the store opens about 8am on June 5 will receive a free pillow.

It follows Spudshed’s store opening at Home Consortium in mid-May.
