Ms Davis opened Hullabaloo Coffee Express on Caloundra Road in mid-September, having owned two stores previously in Karratha and Dampier.

Originally a counsellor, she said she joined the Australia film set because she thought making coffee would be a ‘no-brainer’ job, but instead found she learnt plenty, including how to make Hugh Jackman and Nicole Kidman’s favourite coffees.

‘I had to upskill myself, that was a really good experience for me,’ she said.

‘Hugh used to like his black coffees, Nicole would have a macchiato.’

The Swan Valley resident said she learnt about bone-dry cinos ” made with a different kind of milk and using a different technique to steam the milk ” from the stars.

She said she also learnt how to create various flavours of latte, such as Snickers, Bounty and Mars Bar, which she offers customers at the Clarkson caf�.

‘It is a bit like mixing cocktails,’ she said. ‘You can have those cold as well, we do a lot of different flavoured frappes.’

Also a barista trainer, Ms Davis said she was teaching her own staff, believing the more knowledge they had, the better they could do their job.

‘I’m trying to start a coffee culture up here,’ she said.

‘People are more and more coming because of the reputation for good coffee.’
