YANCHEP Golf Estate’s nature-inspired parks have taken out an industry award for their landscaping and design.

Victory Park and Entry Pocket Park jointly received the parks and open space landscape architecture award from the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects WA last month.

Peet Limited commissioned landscape architects PLACE Laboratory to design and create the parks, which were both commended for their use of site topography to create a variety of spaces.

“The projects’ balance between hard and soft landscapes and spaces of different scales highlights PLACE Laboratory’s capacity to create diversity through design,” the award jury said.

“The attention to detail and strength of walled elements, level changes, materials used and retention of existing natural elements show great thought and understanding of the site and what a community values.”

The parks feature mature flame trees, lawn and a nature play area.
