A DANCE program for young children will branch out into Merriwa from mid-July.

The Kindy Dance Time program currently operates in Joondalup, Craigie and Landsdale, and from July 18 will introduce classes at the Jenolan Way Community Centre.

“Kindy Dance Time is fun, creative dance for toddlers and pre-schoolers,” franchisee Kirstie Roberts said.

“The syllabus is crafted by highly trained dance professionals and is age-specific, catering to the physical and emotional development of the children.

“Our aim is to ease our little budding dancers into a class environment and give them a fun and stress-free experience, while also introducing them to some of the core foundations of dance.

“Children start to use their imagination through dance and music as well as gaining the foundations of dance.”

The former primary school teacher and classically trained dancer said she enjoyed spending her working day engaging young minds and introducing them to the world of dance.

Merriwa classes will run from 10am to 10.30am for children aged two to 3½, and from 10.45am to 11.30am for those aged 3½ to five.
