A BUTLER choir will perform 1950s musical I’m Gonna Let it Shine in Wanneroo this month.

North Coastal Children’s Community Choir president Janet Blenkinsop said the May 26 performance would be the first ever ensemble of the musical in Perth.

“The costumes and scenery is staged in the 1950s,” she said.

“Children will sing their chosen solo pieces before they board a train to freedom land and sing songs that gave people courage, comfort and strength to continue the fight for human rights.
