Drummer and Butler resident Shiv Jagatia said the group of musicians felt they should hold an event, Dandiya Dhamaka, to help victims after the earthquake caused widespread damage in April.

“Our event for Nepal earthquake disaster will be raising funds to support UNHCR – we are anticipating to donate $6000 at least,” he said. “The event is open to all general public and will consist of Indian folk, cultural, traditional and Bollywood music.”

Mr Jagatia said Dandiya Dhamaka meant ‘fun and dance’, and it would be an alcohol-free event, with free entry for children under 10.
