The Aperture Group, or TAG, is a small social group of novice to professional photographers that meets on the first and third Tuesday of each month.
Workshop director Lynn Gail said TAG held competitions on the first Tuesday for digital and print entries, and workshops on the third Tuesday.
“These nights encompass all things photographic and can include a guest speaker, on-hand workshops that include photographic tuition, and occasional outings,” she said.
“We encourage all members to help each other and participate throughout the year in numerous meetings to help develop skills and inspire our members in a friendly and immersive environment.
“The group also arranges photographic field trips during the year with an aim to learn different aspects in the art of photography.”
The club is affiliated with the WA Photographic Federation and membership is $60 for individuals, $50 for pensioners and $100 for families.
There is a door fee of $4 for each visit, with the sessions starting at 7.30pm at the Jenolan Way Community Centre in Merriwa.
