RIDGEWOOD’S band of brothers hope WA fans will support their grand final bid in a national TV contest tonight.

Taking on one of their idols’ songs, the Subih Brothers performed the Jackson 5 hit I’ll Be There in the semi-finals of Channel 9’s Australia’s Got Talent show this evening.

With voting lines open until 9am tomorrow, the twins Shaheen and Manuell (16) and younger brother Andrie (11) said they hoped to get enough votes to be one of 10 acts in next weekend’s grand final.

Shaheen said they chose the song because people related them to the Jackson 5.

“It’s from our idols as well,” Manuell added.

“They are all brothers like we are.

“We want to hopefully travel the world like they did.

“We are all young still – we’ve got a long time to do this.”

Having performed across Perth at community events and AFL matches, the brothers said their dream gig would be at Madison Square Garden in New York.

The self-taught trio sing, dance and play a variety of instruments including guitar, keyboard and drums.

“We just want to show Australia and hopefully the world our talent,” Shaheen said.

“Hopefully people can follow our footsteps and follow their dreams as well.”

Viewers in Perth have until 9am to vote for the Subih Brothers by calling 1902 559 002 or texting “SUBIH” to 1970 2299.
