TRYCAN will hold a gel plate printing class on April 30.

TWO Rocks Yanchep Culture and Arts Network (TRYCAN) will hold a gelli plate mono printing workshop next Saturday.

TRYCAN vice president Pam Annesley said gelli plates were made of gelatine and glycerine.

“Paint is rolled onto the surface and textured impressions are made with paper, stencils, leaves, string, etc,” she said.

“Paper is laid over the paint, smoothed down and then the print is pulled.

“Students can make decorative cards, journal covers, pages and lots more.”

The April 30 class will run from 10am-1pm at the Phil Renkin Recreation Centre, Lisford Avenue, Two Rocks.

The class costs $20 for TRYCAN members and $25 for non-members.
