THE Easter bunny will be hopping through Eglinton and Alkimos over the next two weekends.
On Easter Saturday (March 31), the bunny will be at Waterfront Park in Alkimos for an egg hunt through a giant pop-up maze.
To find chocolate treats, people will have to find their way through the 272sq m labyrinth, which will have 1.85m high walls and 1.5m wide corridors.
Other Easter-themed activities running between 10am and 2pm will include face painting as well as egg-and-spoon and bunny-hop races.
Residents can bring picnics or support the Northshore Christian Grammar School’s sausage sizzle.
For those who cannot wait a week, the bunny will hop through neighbouring estate Amberton this Saturday for a free chocolate-filled egg hunt.
There will be a coffee van onsite to provide free hot drinks and Stockland WA general manager Col Dutton said everyone was welcome to attend the Eglinton event on March 24.
“We work hard to provide free and inclusive events for the whole family and our Easter eggstravaganza is set to deliver more than just chocolate eggs but an opportunity for locals to come together,” he said.
“Once the Easter activities have wrapped up visitors can relax at Amberton’s flying fox park located in the heart of the community.”
The festivities will run from 10am to 11am at Cinnabar Park and anyone who wants to participate in the free egg hunt must register prior to the day by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org .
