The exhibition will display a collection of overseas photographs taken during her extensive travels through Bangladesh, Japan, China, Russia, and Mongolia.
Janina will donate part proceeds of the sales to welfare agency Soul Link.
‘I’m also asking that throughout the exhibition people who come along bring a tin of food to also donate to Soul Link,’ she said.
Janina has studied and travelled around the world and particularly throughout Asia with a bachelor of creative industries majoring in photomedia.
‘They aren’t your typical travel photography style pictures,’ she said. ‘The images have an ambiguous quality, leaving them open to interpretation by the viewers. They are full of the mystery experienced when facing the unknown for the first time.’
Opening night is June 26 from 6.30pm and continuing on June 27 and 28, 11am to 4pm, on the corner of Royce Court and Winton Road.
