The Quinns Rocks teenager received the award at the May 1 annual award night, having pursued a career in tourism and events since she started high school.
Ms Cassidy emerged as the Student of the Year after securing top honours as the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Student of the Year for 2014.
Once qualified, she wants to showcase Aboriginal artists and designers.
