“Scott walked while his little brother Damien (9) rode his bike out the front setting the pace and they made it to the finish line in seven hours and 47 minutes – 58 minutes quicker than last year,” his mother Nicole said.

This year Damien set the pace by cycling ahead of his older brother Scott.

“Now that the marathon is over, Scott will start training for his 50km treadmill challenge which is on the Telethon Weekend in October.”

The June 23 marathon achievement follows several wins for Scott this year, including winning the health and wellbeing category at the WA Young Achiever Awards.

He has also sold more than 1000 copies of his book ‘Did you know you can change the world?’ and plans to hold an exhibition later this year of artwork created during workshops he ran in Alkimos.
