Alkimos Surf Life Saving Club appeals for information on missing beach buggy

UPDATE, February 7 : POLICE have recovered a missing surf lifesaving vehicle after receiving a tip off from a member of the public.

Yanchep Sergeant Chris Wride praised the information provided that led to Clarkson police officers finding the beach buggy that went missing from Alkimos Surf Life Saving Club last week.

Clarkson Senior Sergeant Stephen Foley said officer charged a Clarkson man (31) with receiving stolen property after recovering the vehicle on Tuesday and he was due to face Joondalup Magistrates Court on March 7.

Sgt Foley said they also charged him with stealing in relation to the alleged theft of wheels from a car yard in Melville.

He said the some parts of the ATV had been removed.

ALKIMOS Surf Life Saving Club has appealed for help after volunteers found their beach buggy had been stolen.

The group, which started last year, posted an appeal for information on its Facebook page today.

“Stolen – has anyone seen this vehicle or know of any suspicious activity during the week at the surf club?” the post said.

“Our volunteers are extremely disappointed as we require the vehicle to provide services to the community.”
