Applications open for round four of Stronger Communities Federal funding program

APPLICATIONS are open for the fourth round of the Federal Government’s Stronger Communities program.

Grant range between $2500 and $20,000 and previous recipients have included Quinns District Netball Club which received funding for netball equipment.

Pearce MHR Christian Porter said other successful applications in previous rounds included Swan Athletic Sporting Club for car park upgrades, Parkland Villas in Ellenbrook for IT upgrades and Avon Valley Arts Society for exhibition lighting.

Mr Porter said organisations could lodge expressions of interest for their projects via his website until August 31.

“I will be working closely again with a community consultative committee,” Mr Porter said.

“We are especially keen on projects that improve community involvement and contribute to creating vibrant and viable communities.”

Moore MHR Ian Goodenough said projects funded through previous rounds included a bike skills track at MacDonald Park in Padbury and upgrades for Otaga Park in Craigie.

Mr Goodenough said $150,000 would be distributed to up to 20 projects across his electorate and expressions of interest could be made at his website.
