The May 26 report, which it will consider at Gumblossom Community Centre, responds to a 105-signature petition for more bins at the entrances and on the beach.

It said there were already eight bins and 10 dog poo bag dispensers at the entrances, and servicing bins on the beach was not possible using vehicles so could pose an occupational health and safety risk for staff.

The report said an option to provide bins on the beach in summer, as the City of Joondalup does, would cost $158,000 to set-up and $65,000 in annual maintenance. It recommended an alternative option, to provide four bins and bag dispensers, at a set-up cost of $1000.
