MINDARIE resident Courtney Tester is juggling study with modelling and representing her suburb in the Miss Galaxy Australia Quest.

“This year I have entered the Miss Galaxy Australia Quest as Miss Mindarie representing the northern beachside suburb where I live and have attended school for the past few years,” she said.

“In 2013 when I was 16, I was chosen as a WA finalist and then very fortunate to be chosen in Sydney as the Australian National Winner in the Miss Teen Galaxy competition to travel to the USA for the international final, where I won Best in Fashion Wear.”

The Edith Cowan University student recently finished her second year of a double degree in business and arts.

“I also run a modelling and deportment school in Joondalup for teenage girls to promote self-esteem and teach self-confidence,” she said.

“I also try to help with various charity organisations, including Make A Wish Foundation, MS Society and Ovarian Cancer, which are all dear to me and have touched my life in some way.”

The WA finals of the Miss Galaxy Australia pageant will be held in January.
