Bethanie Beachside residents voted best dressed at Aged Care Games

Tyler BrownNorth Coast Times

YANCHEP residents from Bethanie Beachside have won best presented team at last month’s Aged Care Games held at Arena Joondalup.

They donned their loudest Hawaiian shirts, beach hats and tropical leis as they set competed against a number of other aged care providers in adapted games including seated hockey, bean bag toss and skittles.

At age 99, team member Ted Gilchrist just missed out on taking out the title of this year’s oldest participant, with another competitor joining the games at 100 years old.

Facility manager Louisa Chadwick said the residents looked forward to taking part in the games each year and had already begun planning next year’s outfit theme.
