Big turn-out for Rotary event

ECU Enactus, Mindarie Rotary Club and Satterley Property Group hosted the free community event on the eve of Clean Up Australia Day.

The February 28 film was The Lorax, based on the book by Dr Seuss, and community groups had several stalls.

Mindarie Regional Council representatives offered advice about recycling and setting up worm farms.

Environment and Heritage Minister Albert Jacob said the turn-out of more than 500 people was great.

‘This event is a perfect opportunity to bring the community together and recognise Clean Up Australia Day, as well as supporting your local Rotary Club,’ he said.
