Mr Jacob joined school children at Hillarys Beach on October 4 to hand out copies of Discover Western Australia’s Marine Parks, produced by the Department of Parks and Wildlife, and discuss the importance of marine park protection.
‘The waters off the WA coast are home to an amazingly diverse array of animals and plants found nowhere else in the world,’ he said.
‘The State’s 16 marine parks and reserves protect marine biodiversity and also provide opportunities for people to enjoy and appreciate these remarkable natural environments.’
