A BOY is in a critical condition at Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) after he was hit by a truck while cycling in Butler yesterday afternoon.
The crash occurred about 2.40pm at the junction of Swavesey Avenue and Connolly Drive.
St John Ambulance took the 12-year-old boy to Joondalup Health Campus (JHC) where he was stabilised before being transferred to RPH late last night, a JHC spokeswoman said.

WA Police expect to provide updates on the incident later today.
Update, 4.40pm: WA Police spokeswoman Barbara Crane said the boy died at Royal Perth Hospital today after receiving life-threatening injuries in yesterday’s crash.
“At 2:35pm, a 12 year old boy riding along Swavesey Avenue approaching Connolly Drive, collided with a truck travelling along Connolly Drive,” Sgt Crane said.
“He was not wearing a bicycle helmet at the time.”
Police are investigating.
