AN event celebrating Easter and the community will be held outside the Brighton Salvos Store in Butler on Saturday.

The day, to run from 11am to 1pm, includes a sausage sizzle, coffee stand, children’s face painting, Easter eggs, music and more.

The Salvation Army Salvo Stores WA chaplain Richard Wiltshire said they hoped the event would allow them to engage with the public, have fun and socialise.

He said it would also celebrate Easter, promote the Salvation Army’s mission, raise donations for local social projects and promote volunteer opportunities.

“We hope that by running this event we will engage in conversations that count, offer support for those who need someone to listen, promote what we do and draw upon support from the community in the north coast region,” he said.

“We hope the event will be fun, informative and beneficial for all who come along to celebrate Easter.”

Everyone is welcome to attend outside shop 20b Brighton Village Shopping Centre, Kingsbridge Boulevard.
