AN election banner for Liberal candidate for Butler Linda Aitken went missing in Alkimos on Monday.

The $200 banner, measuring 1m high by 3m wide, had been tied to a fence on the corner of Marmion Avenue and Graceful Boulevard.

According to a statement from Mrs Aitken, electricians saw a man in high visibility gear walk away with the banner under his arm about 10.30am on Monday, February 13.

A large corflute election sign went missing about the same time.
