A NEIGHBOUR’S quick response helped police arrest a burglar in the act on Tuesday.
Clarkson Senior Sergeant Stephen Foley said officers caught a man allegedly attempting to steal items from a Quinns Rocks home after a neighbour called police.
“He broke in through a front window,” Sgt Foley said.
“A local resident saw this person acting in a suspicious manner; they rang police.
“Police arrived shortly after and they were able to catch this person in the house while he was doing this burglary.”

Sgt Foley said officers charged the man (30), of Perth with burglary for the incident on Graham Road about 7.50am on August 13.
He was also charged with two counts of theft in relation to separate fuel drive-offs and is due to appear in court on September 11.
Sgt Foley praised the resident’s quick response and said people should call police on 131 444 immediately if they saw suspicious behaviour or call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
