Burglaries still occurring

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Clarkson Acting Senior Sergeant Paul Beccarelli said while weekly crime statistics dipped in mid-January, police continued to receive reports of home burglaries.

‘The burglaries we do have continue to be those through unlocked doors and windows,’ he said.

A Clarkson resident, who wished to remain anonymous, said he, his wife and two children had gone to bed on a Friday night and woke up at 6am the next day to find they had been burgled.

The thieves stole his children’s Christmas present, an iPad, and his wife’s handbag and purse with all her credit cards.
