Business sprouts idea for community hub

Staff ReporterNorth Coast Times

Called Sprout, the community hub will be an adaptable, multi-use space and provide different segments of the community with services.

Located beside Escarpment Park in the Alkimos Beach estate, it has meeting rooms, exhibition space and a coffee kiosk, as well as toilets.

Developers Lend Lease and LandCorp have funded the project by Sprout Ventures, a start-up company initiated by directors Kate Fitzgerald, Bridie Ritchie and Lachy Ritchie.

Initially the hub will be open between 8.30am and 4.30pm on weekends and from 7.30am to 3.30pm on Mondays and Wednesdays.
