The branch, which has 20 members, will head to Penguin Island for its 37th birthday, and will volunteer to cater the Yanchep Two Rocks Community Bus 25th anniversary morning tea in October.
Treasurer Beverley Duckett said the branch’s activities had been varied this year, from fundraising for the local community to social activities.
She said they had visited the new CWA House in Perth, travelled to Moora for its branch’s 85th birthday, raised funds for breast cancer services in Wanneroo, attended the Koorunga pyjama party in Bindoon and a choir and drama festival in Cervantes.
They have also visited Jurien Bay for Geranium Day, Caversham on Friendship Day, catered the annual Yanchep Two Rocks Recreation Association’s volunteer breakfast, visited the Joondalup CWA branch, fundraised at the Alkimos Shipwreck 50th anniversary and supported Two Rocks Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade.
The Yanchep and Districts CWA meets on the second Thursday of each month from 9.30am at the Phil Renkin Recreation Centre on Lisford Avenue, Two Rocks.
